LGBTQ+ Traveler Experiences & Advisor Support Survey

Develop the Magic, LLC is collecting anonymous input from LGBTQ+ travelers (and supportive allies) to strengthen education for travel advisors and travel agencies.

Your feedback helps improve how advisors support LGBTQ+ clients through inclusive communication, privacy-minded planning, and safety-aware guidance.

Why we ask

Develop the Magic creates professional education resources for travel advisors. This survey supports an update to our LGBTQ+ traveler module by gathering real-world perspectives on what helps (and what harms) during travel planning and travel itself. We’re focused on practical, advisor-ready insights:  what respectful support looks like, what to avoid, and what travelers want advisors to understand.

Your privacy matters

This survey is designed to be anonymous. To protect your safety, please do not include:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or social media handles

  • Booking numbers, confirmation details, or flight information

  • Exact travel dates or highly specific locations

  • Names of advisors, agencies, hotels, suppliers, or tour operators

Open-text questions are optional, and you’re welcome to keep responses broad and de-identified.

Survey window: Open March 2–31, 2026. May close early if response capacity is reached.

Prefer to share directly instead?
(Not anonymous)

If you’d rather not type your feedback into an online survey, you’re welcome to share input through a private conversation instead. Important: Email is not anonymous.

Email Denise with the subject line: “Private LGBTQ+ Survey Conversation”
If you’re comfortable, include:

  • Your preferred name (or initials)

  • A few general times you’re available and include your time zone

  • Whether you’d prefer phone or video (or just email back-and-forth)

How your input may be used

Your responses may be used to improve:

  • our LGBTQ+ traveler education module for travel advisors

  • training tools such as scripts, checklists, and intake best practices

  • presentations or workshops for travel agencies and advisor teams

We share insights primarily as aggregated themes (patterns across responses). When examples are used, they are typically presented as composite scenarios (blended, de-identified learning cases). We do not publish raw submissions.

Read the Survey Privacy & Data Use Notice.
